Tissot and Pinarello Get Ready for Cycling Season with a Carbon-Clad Special Edition

Summer marks the height of the cycling calendar. From epic mountain stages and Grand Tour battles to weekend rides on winding country roads, this is the season when cycling enthusiasts spend more time in the saddle than anywhere else. It is therefore fitting that Tissot, a brand deeply rooted in sports timing and Official Timekeeper of the Tour de France, unveils a watch created in partnership with one of the most celebrated names in professional cycling: Pinarello. The collaboration unites two manufacturers whose histories are defined by precision and performance. Founded in Le Locle in 1853, Tissot has spent more than 170 years producing reliable Swiss timepieces and serving as official timekeeper for numerous sporting disciplines. Pinarello, established in Treviso in 1952, has become synonymous with elite cycling performance. Its bicycles have carried riders to an unmatched 15 Tour de France victories and more than 30 Grand Tour wins, making it the most successful bicycle manufacturer in the sport’s history.

The partnership finds its expression in a distinctive 42mm case crafted from forged carbon. The material immediately references Pinarello’s high-performance bicycle frames, prized for their remarkable combination of strength and lightness. Every detail reflects the Italian manufacturer’s racing DNA. The watch’s unusual asymmetrical profile is inspired by the fork design found on Pinarello bicycles, while the crown positioned at 10 o’clock gives the model a character all its own. An engraved Pinarello logo on the case further emphasizes the collaborative nature of the project. Protected by a box-shaped sapphire crystal, the dial reveals a textured surface reminiscent of asphalt racing beneath a cyclist’s wheels. Its concave architecture draws attention to the minute track positioned on the rehaut, creating depth and enhancing legibility. Applied baton indexes and hands filled with Superluminova ensure excellent visibility in all lighting conditions. A particularly distinctive touch is the seconds hand, shaped like Pinarello’s iconic “P” logo and finished in Borealis blue, a signature color closely associated with the cycling brand.

Powering the watch is Tissot’s COSC-certified Powermatic 80 movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. Based on the C07.611 caliber, it offers an impressive 80-hour power reserve and features a Nivachron balance spring for enhanced resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. The watch is delivered with two straps— a sporty rubber strap and a handcrafted leather option— allowing owners to adapt its character from training ride to casual wear.
