A Calendar Classic in Burgundy

Returning to Gotham Hall from October 16–18, 2026, WatchTime New York will bring a broad range of watchmaking under one roof. Among the highlights is Frederique Constant’s new Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture in burgundy, a striking color variation of the brand’s perpetual complication. Limited to 100 pieces, the US-exclusive edition pairs a sunray-finished burgundy dial with a 40mm stainless-steel case and the improved Manufacture Caliber FC-776.

Clean Display, Classic Details

Despite the complexity of its perpetual calendar complication, the dial maintains a balanced, easy-to-read layout. Day, month, date and leap-year indications are harmoniously displayed across the dial, with the day shown at 9 o’clock, the month and the leap year at 12 o’clock and the pointer date at 3 o’clock. A classic moon-phase indication completes the composition at 6 o’clock. The sunray finish shifts between deep wine tones and brighter reflections, setting off the chemin de fer minute track, faceted applied hour markers and matching hands that are a signature of the collection. A fluted onion crown reinforces the watch’s vintage-inspired character.

In-House Caliber with a 72-Hour Power Reserve

Inside the case, the automatic caliber FC-776, Frederique Constant’s 34th in-house movement, delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. Compared with its predecessor, the movement offers an additional reserve thanks to an optimized barrel and a newly developed mainspring alloy. The sapphire-crystal caseback reveals the movement’s decorative finishing, including fan-shaped Côtes de Genève, perlage and a 5N gold-plated, partially skeletonized oscillating weight with satin-brushed and spiral finishing.

Two Straps and a Watch Winder

Frederique Constant delivers the Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture Burgundy Edition with two alligator leather straps, one in black and the other in burgundy. The choice allows the wearer to opt for a discreet, understated look or a coordinated color scheme. A watch winder is also included. Limited to 100 pieces, the Frederique Constant Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture Burgundy Edition is priced at $12,995.
