Hublot Unveils the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire

Limited edition collaboration with artist Daniel Arsham reimagines timekeeping through the fluidity of water and underscores the brand's commitment to "The art of fusion". Its hand-wound manufacture movement offers an impressive power reserve of ten days.

Hublot introduces the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire, a new limited-edition wristwatch created in collaboration with American artist and Hublot Ambassador Daniel Arsham. Limited to 99 pieces, this debut wristwatch design by Arsham continues the artistic dialogue between contemporary art and high watchmaking that began with the MP-16 Arsham Droplet pocket watch.

True to its name, the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire draws inspiration from the movement and transparency of water. Arsham’s vision of “fictional archaeology” is expressed in the splash-shaped dial opening and organic case architecture, evoking a design that appears simultaneously ancient and futuristic. The 42-millimeter case is sculpted from polished, microblasted titanium with flowing sapphire crystal elements, including a frosted, box-shaped bezel. The signature Hublot codes remain intact, such as the six H-screws on the bezel, the distinctive case lugs, and the H-shaped titanium folding clasp.

The rhodium-plated dial features Arsham Green accents on the hour and minute hands, numerals, indices, small seconds display at 9 o’clock, and the power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. The use of sapphire crystal on both the front and the case back enhances transparency, allowing uninterrupted views of the movement within. The MP-17 MECA-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is worn on a black rubber strap decorated with Arsham’s monogram and secured by a titanium deployant buckle.

At the heart of the MP-17 is Hublot’s beautifully finished in-house manual-winding caliber HUB1205. This skeletonized movement has been finished with gray PVD treatment and measures 6.8 millimeters in thickness with a diameter of 33.5 millimeters. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour, or 3 Hertz. One of its most impressive features is a power reserve of 240 hours, equivalent to ten full days.
