Luxury watch brands often release special editions to commemorate Chinese New Year, incorporating design elements and symbols associated with the zodiac sign of the year with unique features to appeal to collectors and enthusiasts. The Year of the Dragon is considered particularly auspicious, and those born under this sign are often thought to be destined for success and prosperity. People born in the Year of the Dragon are believed to be ambitious, passionate, and unafraid of challenges.

Well, the motif on Corum's Bubble 47 Dragon Eye, depicting the dragon’s eye smack in the center, seems certainly up to all challenges. The eye and its encircling dragon folds are meticulously shaped through artisanal metal casting techniques, adding depth and texture to this extraordinary watch face. The eye's focal point, exhibiting an almost sunburst effect, is meticulously hand-painted in vibrant orange and red hues. The eyelid and the encompassing area bring a spectrum of golden to brown hues to life. Two skeletonized, leaf-shaped hands indicate the hour and minute. The expressive charm of this miniature work of art is accentuated by the characteristic curved sapphire crystal of the Bubble line, which was first introduced in 2000.

Inside the stainless steel/PVD case, which is water-resistant up to 100 meters and measures 47mm in diameter, beats the automatic caliber CO 082.

The Bubble 47 Dragon is limited to 88 pieces and priced at CHF 6,900.
