TAG Heuer is welcoming the Chinese Year of the Dragon with two limited editions of its classic Carrera chronographs, featuring vibrant red accents associated with Chinese festivities. The 42mm diameter cases, available in stainless steel and 18k rose gold, channel the early style of the iconic Carrera with polished piston-style pushers, a large crown, and angular lugs. The sunray-brushed silver dial for the steel version and the sunray-brushed 18k rose gold-plated dial for the gold version subtly reference the Year of the Dragon.

The Carrera Chronograph models have a reversed panda dial display, with contrasting red snailed sub-dials for elapsed 30 minutes and a 12-hour counter. The subsidiary seconds are positioned at 6 o'clock, where a discreet date window is also located. The central chronograph seconds hand and applied hour indices are highlighted in red lacquer, matching the dragon motif on the case back.

The dragon comes to life on the rear side. Supposed to bring lots of positivity and support for the development of love and family, the mythical creature is printed on the sapphire crystal, coiling around the openworked rose gold rotor. Powered by the modern manufacture Heuer 02 calibre, equipped with a column wheel and a vertical clutch, the Carrara Chronograph Year of the Dragon offers an impressive power reserve of 80 hours.
