Since 2002, Mido has been inspired by the beauty of architectural landmarks. This year saw the launch of the first collection based on this subject, the All Dial, which drew inspiration from the Colosseum in Rome. In celebration of this 20-year anniversary, the Swiss tradition brand presents five limited editions in its most important collections this year, namely the All Dial, Baroncelli, Ocean Star, Multifort and Commander lines.

Right in time for summer, the Ocean Star 20th Anniversary Inspired by Architecture hits the stores. The diver's watch offers sporty yet elegant looks and is distinguished by its ocean-blue dial with a "velvet" finish as well as color-coordinated unidirectional aluminium bezel and textile strap with red accents.

As is de rigueur for the genre, the luminescent watch face offers great readability under all conditions. The bold markers and the skeletonized hands are coated with Superluminova. A weekday and date indication at 3 o'clock adds versatility to this special edition. The index at 12 o'clock is inspired by the Europa Point Lighthouse in the Strait of Gibraltar.

There is also an engraving of the landmark on the case back. The case is crafted from 316L stainless steel and water-resistant to 200 meters. It has a diameter of 42.5mm and a thickness of 11.6mm.

At the heart of this Ocean Star ticks Mido's modern self-winding caliber 80 which offers up to 80 hours of power reserve. The edition is limited to 1,841 pieces and has a retail price of $1,170.
