Morning Blue: Parmigiani Fleurier Presents the Latest Toric Petite Seconde
Showing at WatchTime New York 2026
With the Toric Petite Seconde Platinum Morning Blue, Parmigiani Fleurier pairs a softly textured dial in an exceptional shade of blue with a platinum case and a manually-wound movement crafted in rose gold. The result is a dress watch that dispenses with unnecessary complications and lets its materials, proportions, and meticulous finishing speak for themselves.
The new watch will be presented at WatchTime New York 2026, taking place this weekend. Sunday tickets are still available, here.

Parmigiani FleurierMinimalist yet Meticulous
The Toric collection was introduced in 1996 as the first line of the prestigious manufacture, founded by master watchmaker Michel Parmigiani, and reintroduced at Watches and Wonders 2024. Three decades later, its defining features remain intact, including the knurled bezel inspired by the decorative moldings of classical architecture. The contemporary interpretation, however, takes a more restrained approach, emphasizing tactile surfaces and balanced proportions.

Parmigiani FleurierAt the center of the Toric Petite Seconde is its 18-karat white gold dial, entirely hand-grained using the traditional grenage technique. Its Morning Blue shade lives up to its name, displaying a hue that reminds of the first brightness of the daytime sky. The textured surface gives it considerable depth. Depending on the light and the angle of view, the blue shifts between cooler, muted tones and brighter, more luminous nuances. From a distance, its surface appears almost smooth. Up close, the minute irregularities that create the fascinating play of light become visible. Slender alpha-shaped hands and applied hour markers in rhodium-plated 18-karat gold maintain the restrained aesthetic. The small seconds display at 6 o'clock and the gently recessed flange complete the sophisticated dressy layout.

Parmigiani FleurierThe 950 platinum case measures 40.6mm in diameter and just 8.8mm in height. Its polished surfaces contrast subtly with the finely knurled bezel, while the precious metal's cool, understated appearance beautifully complements the blue dial. Elongated lugs with gently curved profiles ensure a smooth transition from the case to the strap. The transparent case back reveals the movement inside.

Parmigiani FleurierPlatinum Outside, Rose Gold Within
The manually-wound manufacture caliber PF780 has a distinctive appeal of its own. Its bridges are made of 18-karat rose gold, a material rarely used for the structural components of a movement. The architecture features two expansive bridges and two visible barrels, arranged to deliver energy consistently throughout the 60-hour power reserve. The bridges are decorated with Côtes de Fleurier, a pattern created on a historic guilloché machine. Hand-beveled components provide a contrasting finish, while the absence of an automatic winding rotor leaves the movement's architecture unobstructed. The PF780 comprises 157 components andoperates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4 Hz.

Parmigiani FleurierA Cohesive Design Down to the Detail
The attention to texture extends to the strap. Made of Akoya Grey nubuck alligator leather, it has a matte, velvety surface that echoes the fine grain of the dial. It requires around twenty manual operations and two days of work, as the six constituent layers are shaped and assembled by hand. The visible stitching follows the Italian punto a mano tradition: a minute stitch followed by a longer interval, recalling the discreet handwork found in fine Neapolitan tailoring. Pricing is marked at $68,200.
