Introducing the Mühle-Glashütte Sportivo Power Dive

With its robust construction, 30-bar water resistance, clear underwater legibility and striking color gradient, the Sportivo Power Dive brings together the functionality of a professional dive watch and the distinctive character of the Sportivo line.

Mühle-Glashütte expands its Sportivo line with the Sportivo Power Dive, a purpose-built dive watch with a distinctive visual character. Its 42.5mm stainless steel case combines a unidirectional ceramic bezel with a dial that transitions from black through petrol to turquoise blue. A power-reserve indicator at 6 o’clock adds a practical function to the classic dive-watch setup

Built for Underwater Timing

For a dive watch, the bezel is one of the most important elements for tracking elapsed time underwater. The Sportivo Power Dive uses a unidirectional ceramic bezel with a continuous minute scale and 60 clicks. The markings from 0 to 15, followed by five-minute graduations, are coated with Superluminova. The likewise luminous triangle at zero marks the start of the timing period, while the minute hand indicates the elapsed time. The bezel turns counterclockwise only, an essential safety feature that ensures an accidental movement can only reduce the indicated remaining dive time, rather than extend it.

Legibility is equally important. The prominent arrow-shaped minute hand is clearly distinguished from the hour hand, while both hands and the applied hour markers are also generously coated with luminescent material. At 6 o’clock, the power-reserve indicator shows at a glance how much energy remains in the 41-hour reserve. Another practical feature for everyday wear is the date display, neatly integrated at 3 o’clock without disrupting the watch’s clear, functional layout.

A Sporty Gradient

The dial transitions from black through petrol to turquoise blue, creating a strong contrast with the partially polished and partially brushed stainless steel case. Measuring 42.5mm in diameter, 12.5mm thick and 50.2mm from lug to lug, the Sportivo Power Dive has a substantial presence on the wrist. A 2.2mm-thick, double-coated sapphire crystal protects the dial. Together with the screw-down crown and case back, it contributes to the watch’s 30-bar water resistance. The watch is available with a rubber or leather-rubber strap, or an integrated stainless steel bracelet with an adjustable safety folding clasp.

A Customized Self-Winding Movement

Power comes from the automatic SW270-1 in Mühle’s proprietary version. It features the brand’s shock-resistant and finely adjustable Spechthals regulation and delivers 41 hours of power reserve. The movement also provides a date with quick correction and a seconds stop. After finishing and assembly in the brand's Glashütte workshop, each movement is tested in six positions and regulated to rates between 0 and +8 seconds per day. A special rotor bearing the inscription “Three Decades of Wristwatches” is reserved for Mühle-Glashütte’s 2026 novelties, marking three decades since the time-honored company began producing wristwatches in 1996.
