Hanhart Introduces the 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition
A titanium premiere
The 417 ES in stell is one of the most recognizable chronographs in the portfolio of Hanhart. Now the brand introduces the model in a new material: the 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition is the first version crafted from Grade 5 titanium. The matte finish emphasizes the instrument-like character of the chronograph while lending the watch a contemporary, technically oriented aesthetic. The limited edition is available in two case sizes, 39 and 42 millimeters.

HanhartHanhart offers the watch with a case diameter of either 39 or 42 millimeters. Both versions measure 13.6 millimeters in height and are water-resistant to 100 meters. A defining feature is the fluted titanium bezel, which can be rotated in both directions and features Hanhart’s signature red marker at 12 o’clock. It frames a sand-colored dial with a traditional bicompax layout, black typography, and the historic Hanhart logo. The dial color is inspired by the Hanhart Primus Desert Pilot, another well-known model in the brand’s lineup. Superluminova coating on the numerals and hands ensures clear readability in low-light conditions. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal.

HanhartInside the watch beats a hand-wound movement based on the Sellita AMT5100. The column-wheel chronograph with flyback function operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of at least 58 hours. Designed as a robust timing instrument, the 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition also features Hanhart’s proprietary shock-protection system, which helps safeguard the movement against impacts and enhances reliability under demanding conditions. Technical details such as the blued column wheel and the movement’s finishing can be admired through the sapphire crystal case back.
