A 1970s-Inspired Revival

Launched in 2024, the Chief Chronograph connects the recently revived tradition Swiss brand Favre Leuba to its historic chronographs of the 1970s. The watch is distinguished by a 41-mm stainless-steel cushion case, a complex multi-layer dial, and a column-wheel chronograph caliber developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. Until now available in blue, black, and ice blue, the collection has been expanded with two new dial colors: British Racing Green and Dune.

Dials with Depth and Detail

Both new versions undergo a more than 100-step manufacturing process to achieve their intricate textures. A sunray finish, circular-brushed counters, and a grooved minute track combine to create striking depth and a play of light across the dial. The Chief Chronograph British Racing Green brings the storied motorsport color to the wrist in a rich hue that shifts with changing light conditions. The Chief Chronograph Dune, by contrast, offers understated elegance with a warm sandy dial that shifts between beige and soft gold, complemented by rose-gold-toned hands and indexes.

Case and Straps

The cushion-shaped stainless-steel case measures 41mm in diameter and 14mm in height, with a mix of polished and brushed surfaces. Water-resistant to 100 meters, it features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and a sapphire case back. The watches are available with an integrated two-link steel bracelet or a rubber strap in colors matched to the dial.

Movement and Finishing

Powering the watch is the automatic FLC02 column-wheel chronograph caliber, developed together with La Joux-Perret. It runs at 28,800 vph, offers a 68-hour power reserve, and showcases traditional decorations including Geneva stripes, perlage, and blued screws. A skeletonized rotor adorned with a spiral sunray pattern completes the finishing.
