Bulgari starts the year (of the Snake) on a high note. At this year's LVMH Watch Week, the brand unveiled a new generation of its iconic Serpenti Seduttori and Serpenti Tubogas collection. First introduced as a mechanical ladies' timepiece in 1948, it was originally equipped with some of the finest and thinnest movements of its time. Now, Bulgari is building on this heritage with a new manufacture Solotempo movement.

The culmination of several years of research, the Lady Solotempo BVS100 self-winding movement is manufactured entirely in-house at the brand's manufacture in Le Sentier. With a diameter of just 19 mm and a thickness of only 3.9 mm, this petite yet powerful caliber is tailored to suit the distinctive case that has been a hallmark of the collection for decades.

Weighing just five grams, the BVS100 nonetheless delivers an impressive 50-hour power reserve, a testimony to Bulgari's technical prowess. With stunning attention to detail, the oscillating weight is decorated with a pattern of seven scales inspired by the serpent, further emphasizing the symbolism which stands for renewal and eternity.

Some iterations feature brilliant-cut diamond bezels, while others are equipped with pavé-set dials. With their hexagonal links, reminiscent of a snake's scales, the matching bracelets perfectly complement the fluid curves of the 34 mm cases.
