Hightech Meets Handcraft in Chronoswiss's Delphis Firestarter

With the Delphis Firestarter, Chronoswiss presents its classic with a retrograde minute and jumping hour in an expressive red colorway. The limited edition of just 50 pieces features a newly developed case made from "Titanium Core Nano Shell." It combines the resilience of a titanium core with the aesthetics of a high-end polymer, which are permanently bonded at the nano level. Unlike a coating, the polymer seamlessly transitions into the titanium core. The result is a lightweight, durable, and visually striking case that shines in an expressive fiery red hue.

This includes the typical onion-style crown, the prominent lugs and the fluted sides that are hallmarks of the Delphis. The case measures 42,6mm wide and is water resistant to 100 meters. It goes without saying that it is equipped with an exhibition case back to showcase the movement within.

When first introduced by the company founder Gerd-Rüdiger Lang the Delphis made watchmaking history with its sophisticated combination of retrograde minute, jumping hour, and small seconds. These three displays are showcased on a hand-guilloché fire-red enamel dial. The jumping hour appears through a window at twelve o'clock, while the skeletonized retrograde minute hand moves over a sector-shaped area between nine and three o'clock. At the bottom of the dial, two blackened bridges frame the small seconds display.

The sapphire case back reveals the C.6004, finished according to the highest standards of Swiss watchmaking. First introduced in 2023, this automatic movement features a ruthenium coating, a tungsten rotor, and a Côtes de Genève finish that radiates from the center, reflecting the characteristic radiant guilloché of Chronoswiss. Developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret, it offers a power reserve of 55 hours.
