In a collaboration that marks a first in the brand's history, Beauregard, under the creative leadership of its founder Alexandre Beauregard, joined forces with the legendary independent master watchmaker Vianney Halter to present the brand's first gent's watch at this year's Watches and Wonders: the Ulysse.

Limited to ten pieces, this two-hand pink gold timepiece testifies to the young independent brand's prowess in craftsmanship, accompanied by a top-notch manufacture movement designed by Vianney Halter in his Sainte-Croix workshop— a horological masterpiece in its own right. As such, it is hard to say what's more captivating, the dial of the Ulysse or the view through the sapphire case back into its inner workings that can be enjoyed to the fullest thanks to the use of Vianney Halter's mystery rotor.

Let's start with the magnificent art-deco inspired lacework dial, which looks like a masterpiece from the Roaring Twenties. Based on the creative concept of stained glass with precious stones, it consists of 68 delicately colored and perfectly pure hand-cut aquamarines, press-fitted into a 0.3mm-thick gold latticework with a mother-of-pearl base that allows the gemstones to shimmer and glow in a mesmerizing way. The hands, off-set and curved to follow the arch of the dial, appear to flow above this miniature mosaic oeuvre.

Designed and manufactured by Vianney Halter in his workshop in Sainte-Croix and decorated and finished under the creative impulse of Alexandre Beauregard, the movement is a beauty in itself. Beating at 21,600 vph and boasting a power reserve of 56 hours, it is equipped with Vianney Halter's mystery rotor, whose oscillating mass is invisible. This ingenious design allows an unobstructed view of the exceptional finishes and decorations, including maillechort (German silver) bridges, engravings, 30 transparent bearing jewels, and meticulously chamfered angles.
