Are you ready for the 2024 diving and traveling season? Mido certainly is. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of its Ocean Star collection, the Swiss brand is launching the Ocean Star GMT Special Edition. Water-resistant to 200 meters, or 660 feet, and equipped with a modestly sized 40.5mm stainless steel case, this newcomer features a blue luminescent dial that is instantly recognizable thanks to its shark tooth inspired markers. The retro-styled watch face is framed by an aluminium bezel with a 24-hour scale for the second time zone.

The Ocean Star GMT Special Edition is driven by the Mido 80 automatic calibre, itself based on the ETA C07.661. The movement sports a Nivachron anti-magnetic hairspring, boasting a power reserve of 80 hours, and is well protected behind a closed case back with an engraved sea star.
