Six Rare and Exclusive Watches You'll Find at the New Cellini Jewelers Boutique

A New York institution since it first opened in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria in 1977, Cellini Jewelers recently found a new home at 430 Park Avenue. Forced to relocate after the grand hotel shuttered its doors for renovations in March 2017, founder Leon Adams picked a premium location in the beating heart of Midtown Manhattan for the flagship boutique.

After a soft opening three weeks ago, last Tuesday served as the official grand re-opening for the public. While the brand carries industry staples such as Bulgari, Chopard, and Zenith, plus a host of Richemont and Kering brands (A. Lange & Söhne, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Piaget, Vacheron Constantin, Roger Dubuis, Girard-Perregaux, and Ulysse Nardin), what makes Cellini special compared to other jewelers is the sheer amount of independent brands available. Extending beyond typical independent heavyweights such as Richard Mille and Franck Muller (both are available), you'll find brands such as Bovet, De Bethune, Greubel Forsey, Laurent Ferrier, MB&F, H.Moser & Cie., HYT, Moritz Grossman, Parmigiani Fleurier, Ressence, Urban Jürgensen, and Urwerk, that you'll rarely find in North America.
Among those, there are quite a few that have either made exclusive timepieces for Cellini Jewelers at the request of Leon Adams or highly-limited watches that aren't available anywhere else in North America. If you have a chance to visit the new store on the corner of 56th and Park, here are a few things to keep an eye out for.
A. Lange & Söhne 1815 Up/Down Cellini 40th Anniversary Edition

For Cellini's 40th Anniversary last year, A. Lange & Söhne created a limited edition take on its 1815 Up/Down. Made of 18k white gold, the 39 mm timepiece is nearly identical to previous versions of the 1815 Up/Down other than the small seconds counter found at 4 o'clock that features a red "40" in tribute to the jeweler's special anniversary. Lange is famous for its subtlety and nowhere is that more apparent than on this timepiece's execution. It's price at $30,500 and you can read more here.
Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro-Rotor Guilloché

This one-of-a-kind timepiece from Laurent Ferrier was made exclusively for Cellini in white gold. Previously, the hand-finished guilloché design from the septuagenarian watchmaker was only available in timepieces that featured a tourbillon. The white gold, 40 mm piece unique features Laurent Ferrier's prized micro-rotor, pawl-fitted, unidirectional automatic winding system. Price is available upon request.
MB&F MoonMachine 2

Back at SIHH in January, MB&F announced it was once again collaborating with the Finnish master of the moon phase, Stepan Sarpaneva, to create the highly-limited MoonMachine 2. This is the second collaboration between Sarpaneva and Max Busser & Friends after the original MoonMachine was released in 2012. The rose gold and titanium model recently received by Cellini is the first delivered in the world and is appropriately numbered #1. It's priced at $95,000. H. Moser Endeavour Tourbillon Concept in steel

H. Moser & Cie. is one of the more fascinating brands in contemporary horology. At the same time, the young marque manages to be both the enfant terrible of the watch industry and also the producer of some of the simplest and most compelling dress watches around. The Endeavour Tourbillon Concept in steel features Moser's signature fumé dial in its "Funky Blue" hue, blued hands, and a one-minute flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock in module form. It's limited to 20 total pieces, priced at $63,000, and the one at Cellini is the first to make it stateside. You can learn more here.

Available in black platinum for the first time, Cellini is one of only a few boutiques in the world to receive this limited edition take on the Urwerk UR-210. The UR-210 is one of the most widely recognized timepieces in Urwerk's small catalog, yet the blacked-out nature of this limited-to-20 version adds a whole new level of stealthy sex appeal to the watch. During the grand opening last week, Cellini also hosted the U.S. debut of the Bovet Grand Récital 22 Récital, a fantastical astronomical timepiece whose horological complexity is rivaled only by its overall beauty.
