Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 1931 Polo Club Traveling Collection Comes to New York and Los Angeles
In 2025, Jaeger-LeCoultre pays homage to the polo origins of its iconic Reverso timepiece with the "1931 Polo Club." This yearly theme comes to life for the first time after Watches & Wonders Geneva 2025 in a Traveling Collection that makes its debut in the U.S. during the month of May. From May 1st to May 10th it will be displayed at the brand's Madison Ave. Flagship Boutique in New York, and later will be showcased at the Beverly Hills boutique from May 17th to June 3rd.
Few watches have achieved the iconic status of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. Introduced in 1931 when pocket watches were common, the Art-Déco timepiece wasn’t just a bold design statement—it was a technical innovation born from a very specific challenge: how to protect a wristwatch dial during the intense action of a polo match in India in 1930. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s solution was as genius as elegant, both aesthetically and technically: a reversible case that could be flipped to shield the glass. Encased in this protective cradle, the movements were safeguarded from shocks, moisture, and wear—remarkable for their time and still impressive today, more than 90 years after its introduction.
Heritage pieces and new Reverso models on display
The Traveling Collection comprises of rarely seen Reverso heritage pieces as well as a some of the seven Reverso models introduced at Watches & Wonders. They symbolize the four chapters of the Reverso Story – Story of an Icon, Story of Style & Design, Story of Innovation and Story of Craftsmanship.

This pink gold jewelry timepiece, which is equipped with the hand-wound Calibre 846, showcases the artisans' expertise in both gem-setting and enameling.
The front of the watch boasts a white mother-of-pearl dial, adorned with twelve elegant Arabic numerals and framed by the collection’s signature four Art Deco corners. On the reverse side, a stunning decorative tableau comes to life through the fusion of three intricate techniques.
Delicate arum flowers are created by using grand feu champlevé enamel—a demanding process that involves no fewer than five meticulous stages and multiple firings at 800°C. These enamelled blooms are set against a dazzling backdrop of snow-set diamonds, a task requiring 45 hours to individually place all 409 stones by hand. To complete the composition, hand-applied black lacquer accents add striking contrast and depth to the floral motif, elevating the design to a tiny work of art.
The Reverso One Precious Flowers features a pink gold case that measures 40 x 20mm wide and just 9.09mm thick.
