Bremont Supermarine Collection Joined by S300 Kaimu and Vigo Editions

Two new notably elegant yet technically fully approved diver’s watches join Bremont’s Supermarine family. The designs of the Kaimu and Vigo draw inspiration from two contrasting coastlines that reflect the monochrome color palette of the new S300 timepieces. The Vigo is inspired by the eponymous coastline in north-western Spain, distinguished by its white sands. By contrast, the Kaimu beach located on the Hawaiian Big Island is famous for it volcanic black sands.

Both stainless steel debutantes arrive in Bremont’s trip/tick case with a diameter of 40mm and a water resistance of 300 meters. They feature a color coordinated unidirectional bezel with ceramic insert that frames the black respectively white dials. The applied indices are rose gold plated and filled with Superluminova that omits a blue glow in the dark. The center part is decorated with a guilloché pattern.

Turning the watches over reveals a closed case back decorated with a subtle wave pattern, a new design within the Supermarine range. Driven by ETA based self-winding BE-92AV caliber, the Bremont Kaimu and Vigo watches are available on a dual tone bracelet or matching black and white alligator embossed leather straps for $4,195 and $3,696, respectively.

I have always had a problem with this brand. ETA movements and Grand Seiko style bracelets ? Yachtmaster style bezels ? This is what I call a caser brand…
Buy a Longines instead. At least you could then call the ETA movements in house.
