In celebration of its 35th company anniversary and 15th anniversary of its in-house tourbillon movement in 2023, Frederique Constant introduces the Manufacture Classic Tourbillon Meteorite, following a pink gold and stainless steel execution earlier released this year.

As the name suggests, the haute horlogerie complication features a rare meteorite dial that creates a beautiful, “out-of-this world” stage for the large and meticulously finished minute-tourbillon that gracefully rotates at 6 o’clock. Its not only a beautiful sight to behold but also is a testament to the craftsmanship of Frederique Constant’s artisans. Chiseling a meteorite dial, full of metals and only 0.5mm thick, requires exceptional skills. In order to maintain its beauty and enhance its natural grey glints, it is coated by a thin layer of ruthenium.

The Manufacture Classic Tourbillon Meteorite is presented in a platinum case with a diameter of 39mm. The exhibition case back shows the in-house automatic caliber FC-980, first introduced in 2008.

This movement demonstrating the technical prowess of the Geneva-based manufactory is distinguished by a particularly high degree of traditional hand-finishing decorations, featuring beveled and polished edges along with perlage. To ensure visual coherence with the color way of the meteorite dial, the movement also sports a ruthenium finish, very rare for Frederique Constant.
Limited to just 15 pieces, the Manufacture Classic Tourbillon Meteorite is priced at $44,995.
