For over a century, CITIZEN has been synonymous with innovation and excellence in the vast world of watchmaking. The brand's latest, the Promaster Air Automatic GMT, marks one of the most important modern eras of the brand, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the robust Promaster family. Joining the aviation-focused AIR series as part of the larger professionally oriented collection, the new watch marks the first time Citizen has introduced a mechanical GMT in the line, helping celebrate the brand’s enduring commitment to precision and the adventurous spirit.

Available in silver or grey tones via the ref. NB6046-59E and ref. NB6045-51H, respectively, the design is executed in stainless steel with a sporty aesthetic and distinct, travel-oriented style. Sitting boldly on the wrist at 44.5mm by 12.7mm, the sharp silhouette is inspired by the sleek dynamics of aircraft, mirroring the precision and grace of aviation. An engraved flight helmet on the caseback is a further nod to the watch's inspirations, touching on the flight-ready professionalism the watch is purpose-built to support.

Function meets form in the dial of the new Promaster, with bold hands, indices, and a smart use of color providing optimal legibility at a glance. Applied indices and a generous use of lume add dimensionality and visibility across lighting conditions, while a 3 o’clock date window offers practical utility. Surrounding the dial, a 24-hour GMT bezel complements the look and enhances the travel-ready functionality of the timepiece, while an internal slide-rule scale operated via an 8 o’clock crown adds another layer of professional capabilities to the watch.

At the core of the Promaster Air Automatic GMT is the robust Citizen Cal.9054 movement. This meticulously crafted mechanism offers not just the reliability the watchmaker is known for, but also includes magnetic resistance to ensure steadfast, analog precision in the digital age. The movement's fine engineering ensures a steady power reserve of about 50 hours with a frequency of 28,800 vph, securing the watch a paragon of professional-grade performance.
