Perrelet is returning to the event to showcase its new release, the Turbine Rainbow. The Swiss manufacture is renowned for creating animated dials, with its entire Turbine collection featuring rotating blades as the backdrop of the dial. The new Turbine Rainbow is an adaptation of previous models from the collection with innovative use of materials and improved capabilities.

The watch features a 44mm case made primarily of polycarbonate and carbon fiber, marking the first time Perrelet has experimented with carbon fiber in its designs. Carbon fiber is a lightweight material that is especially resistant to chemical agents and temperature changes, making it a versatile and durable choice for watchmaking. The case is finished with a steel bezel and a matte black PVD-coated caseback. It also features the brand’s signature fluted case band.

The main propeller dial is black while the subdial, which is a hallmark of the Turbine collection, is decorated with countless colorful dots against a black background. As the watch moves with the movement of the wrist, the 12-blade black aluminum propeller rotates and the rainbow colors of the subdial are revealed. The outer ring of the dial features 12 hour markers in ascending rainbow order from red at 12 o’clock followed by orange at 2 o'clock, and so on until the indices reach violet at 10 o’clock.

The Turbine Rainbow is powered by the in-house caliber P-331-MH, an automatic movement offering a 42-hour power reserve. The intricacies of the movement are revealed by an exhibition caseback on the reverse of the watch.
