Since 2016, Hublot has been celebrating the Chinese New Year with a special edition of the Spirit of Big Bang, its successful tonneau-shaped collection, which was originally an off-spin of the round Big Bang. 2025 is no exception, with the Wood Snake, the zodiac of the upcoming Chinese Year, taking center stage. Limited to the lucky number of 88 pieces, the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake masterfully blends artistry, craftsmanship, and the technical prowess of a high-beat manufacture chronograph.

Hublot's unique approach to design and detail shines through the multi-faceted representation of the motif, which extends from the dial to the bezel and even onto the black rubber strap mimicking the scales of a serpent. Crafted from black ceramic and water-resistant to 100 meters, the watch features the signature open-worked dial that offers a stunning vista of the chronograph’s inner workings, including the date wheel on the outer skirts of the dial. Nestled within this composition is a three-dimensional, gold-plated serpent that slithers around the chronograph's counters and the small seconds. The lifelike details of the snake are engraved with remarkable precision, thanks to Hublot’s advanced laser technology, which allows for a stunning level of intricacy. The skeletonized hands, the date window and the applied hour markers are color-coordinated.

The Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake is powered by the automatic skeleton chronograph caliber HUB4700, which is a modernized descendant of the legendary El Primero, a high-frequency movement beating at 5 Hz and offering a power reserve of 50 hours.

The watch measures 42mm wide and 14.1mm thick and is equipped with Hublot's patented One-Click strap changing mechanism.

Pricing is marked at $35,100.
