Hamilton Drops PSR with a Blue Display
Since taking the watch world by storm in the 1970s, the Hamilton Pulsar— one of the world's first digital watches— has captivated trendsetters and prominent watch lovers alike. It soon graced the wrists of icons such as Jack Nicholson, Joe Frazier, Elton John and Keith Richards, marking a moment of innovation in timekeeping. Now, 50 years after the original, the Swiss brand with American roots honors this milestone by reintroducing the PSR with a striking new blue display.
The PSR remains faithful to the original, with its cushion-shaped stainless steel case and bracelet, but with a refined black PVD coating. Measuring 40.8 x 34.7 x 13.3mm and water-resistant to 100 meters, its shape and silhouette reflect the bold futurism of 1970s space-age design, giving the newcomer a distinctive and formidable appearance that is uniquely PSR.
Beyond its nostalgic appeal, the PSR showcases modern advances with its blue hybrid display, which combines a reflective LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) with an emissive OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode). This combination enhances contrast for a richer, more vibrant look. This latest model joins the range of contemporary PSR versions, which includes the original red display and a green display introduced in 2022.
