Furlan Marri Releases Red Hunter Anniversary Piece
With the Red Hunter Anniversary Piece, the young Swiss watch brand Furlan Marri is celebrating its fourth anniversary in style. The brand, which garnered international attention after winning the Horological Revelation Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), continues to make waves in the world of fine watchmaking.
This minimalist three-hand timepiece marks a significant milestone—not only in celebration but also in size. The Red Hunter is Furlan Marri’s smallest watch to date, featuring a sleek 36mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel. The moderate, unisex dimensions make it an ideal choice for those who appreciate smaller, more refined timepieces.
Despite its compact size, the Red Hunter is built for everyday adventures. It offers 100 meters of water resistance, ensuring durability without compromising elegance. A standout feature is its hunter-style hinged case back, a nostalgic nod to 19th- and early 20th-century pocket watches used in hunting and military settings. Inside the hinged back, a special engraving commemorates the anniversary.
Powering the Red Hunter is the automatic G100 caliber from La Joux-Perret, boasting an impressive 68-hour power reserve and a precision rating of ±7 seconds per day. As with all Furlan Marri movements, it’s beautifully finished—featuring Geneva stripes, blued screws, perlage, and engravings. A new touch is the rose gold coating on the tungsten rotor, adding warmth and richness to the mechanics.
While the caseback impresses with its intricate craftsmanship, the dial embraces pure minimalism. Raised dot indices, curved hour and minute hands, and four Roman numerals give the dial a dimensional aesthetic. A vivid red central seconds hand adds a bold pop of color and links the design to its “Red Hunter” name.
Another first for the brand: the Red Hunter comes on a stainless steel bracelet, designed in-house by co-founders Andrea Furlan and Hamad Al Marri. To add versatility, it also includes two additional French leather straps—black with red stitching and cream-colored.
The Red Hunter Anniversary Piece is priced at CHF 1,650 (excluding VAT), which translates to approximately $2,100.
