Girard-Perregaux unveils an exclusive new version of its Casquette 2.0, a watch that originally debuted in 1976 with a design inspired by the sci-fi aesthetics of the 1970s. This updated model pays homage to the original’s futuristic style while integrating modern features and premium materials. Crafted in robust Grade 5 titanium, it sports an 18K 2N yellow gold GP logo and matching gold pushers, adding a touch of color to the piece’s bold, retro appeal.

The Casquette 2.0 first re-emerged in 2022 with a black ceramic and titanium case, making a triumphant return after years of anticipation from Girard-Perregaux fans. This latest titanium-and-gold iteration is limited to just 820 pieces, ensuring it will be highly sought after by collectors. It features a distinctive tubular LED display, showing hours, minutes, seconds, day, and date, powered by the advanced Calibre GP03980 quartz movement. Additional functions include a chronograph, second time zone, and a secret date display.

The case measuring 42,40mm x 33,60mm wide and 14,64mm thick is fitted with a titanium bracelet with a rubber inner lining and a titanium folding clasp with fine adjustment.

In a nod to its loyal fanbase, Girard-Perregaux is offering early access to “GP lovers,” who can place orders online until November 14 before the watch becomes widely available on the brand’s official website and at select boutiques.

Pricing is marked at $4,960.
