This year, Chopard celebrates the 25th anniversary of its first L.U.C Quattro timepiece and its eponymous innovative technology. With its clever design of four series-coupled barrels stacked in pairs, it allows for a whopping power reserve of 216 hours or nine days. This quartet stores fully 1.885 meters of springs to achieve this astonishing feat. Adding to the impressiveness is the fact that the power is supplied via a rare and highly sophisticate constant-force mechanism that makes sure that the torque is steady during this period. In addition, the balance-spring features a Phillips terminal curve that precisely controls the oscillations of the regulating organ.

The high precision of the hand-wound L.U.C 98.09-L is attested by the C.O.S.C. with a chronometer certificate. In addition, the L.U.C. Quattro watch also earns the prestigious Geneva Seal, which confirms its provenance of the Canton of Geneva and its exceptional finishing quality and aesthetics of all components.

The sophistication of the watch's intricate inner workings is reflected by its new case, crafted in Chopard's ethical pink gold and inspired by Louis-Ulysse Chopard's 19th-century pocket watches. Measuring 39mm wide and 10.4mm thick, it features a bassine shape, meaning that its base is narrower than its domed, polished bezel. The slightly domed sapphire crystal perfectly matches the curves of the bezel, giving the watch a rounded, harmonious profile. Another sign of fine craftsmanship is that the lugs are made separately before being welded to the case to ensure a perfect aesthetic result.

Featuring a frosted texture and a deep blue color, the dial is also a feast for the eyes. It is furnished with pink gold hour-markers and hands – including the small seconds and date hand, which are combined in a prominent sub dial at 6 o'clock.

The L.U.C Quattro is available with a hand-sewn blue alligator leather with tone-on-tone stitching or brown calfskin strap with beige stitching and will be exclusively sold in the brand's boutiques. Pricing was not available at date of publication and will be updated as soon as communicated.

Pricing is marked at $38,400.
