The new pilot’s watch from the modern Verus line from STOWA now impresses in the “Black Forest” case with the newly interpreted dial design of the Baumuster A, in an unusual color scheme. The 40 mm, black-coated case has long been known to STOWA connoisseurs as the “Black Forest” case. As black as the beautiful, dense Black Forest, where STOWA is based, is said to be with its mystical effect.

The dial design of the watch is inspired by the surroundings and landscape around the Black Forest. Not only are there dark forests that appear almost black even during the day, but the Blautopf, located in Baden-Württemberg, is also one of the bluest bodies of water that Germany has to offer. This gave rise to the following dial design: a large matte black dial adorned with black but shiny numerals and minute markers. Combined with intense, high-contrast turquoise highlights in the form of the aviator triangle at 12 o’clock, the hand set and, on request, the date and logo.

For the night, the minute markers and numerals have been filled with black Superluminova luminous material. This does not change the appearance of the black printing in daylight, but in the dark the coated elements glow slightly in a light blue color. The hands, on the other hand, are applied with Superluminova SLN P3242C/LE Grade A, luminous blue.

The Flieger Verus Black Forest Lagoon is powered by the Swiss automatic movement Sellita SW 200 in the basic or top version, as well as the optional handwound movement Sellita SW 210 in the top version. The choice of high-quality components guarantees an uncomplicated, durable and robust pilot’s watch.

No matter which configuration you choose in the end: Each one is created with great care at the company headquarters in Pforzheim and therefore bears the “Made in Germany” label.
