Tailored Elegance: Czapek & Cie. Delights with Dressy Promenade Plissé

With three captivating versions, Czapek & Cie. continues the success of its Promenade collection, which was first presented last year at Watches and Wonders. The models, named Plissé Rose, Plissé Ivory, and Plissé Pearl White, are each limited to just 18 pieces. The finely structured dials are inspired by famous dresses from Hollywood and fashion classics: Marilyn Monroe's legendary white dress in The Seven Year Itch, Issey Miyake's creative pleats, and Yves Saint Laurent's iconic Le Smoking.

The Plissé pattern, meaning "with pleats," is created through a complex embossing technique developed in collaboration with Czapek's long-time partner Metalem. This method gives the dial the appearance of a delicately folded fabric, gently embracing the grooved small seconds at 4:30, creating a fascinating play of light and shadow. This effect is further enhanced by applied indices with diamond-cut edges and skeletonized hands.

The 38mm stainless steel case was designed with the goal of being very slim. To achieve a sleek height of 10.8mm, Czapek relies on the in-house SXH5 caliber with a micro-rotor. The finely finished movement, crafted in accordance with Geneva traditions, has a frequency of 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 60 hours. The Promenade case reflects the distinctive design features of the independent brand: recessed, sandblasted case sides, rounded lugs and a slim bezel.

The pink version is attached to a mesh bracelet, while the other two are equipped with color-matching leather straps. All three have a retail price of CHF 16,000 (without taxes) or approximately $17,500 when converted to USD.
