Right in time for the summer season, Longines expands its acclaimed Legend Diver line with a refined new model featuring a matte white dial— a first for the collection. New strap options in deep blue and classic black rubber further enhance the versatility and modern appeal of this history-steeped timepiece with an unmistakable look.

The new Legend Diver model stands out with its matte white dial, offering sharp contrast and superior legibility. Staying true to the design language of the collection, the watch face features elongated markers and embossed Arabic numerals that beautifully stand out against the light backdrop. Satin-finished black and light green arrow-shaped hands, also coated with Super-LumiNova, ensure optimal visibility in all lighting conditions.

This beauty of a dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal with a subtle black metallization and anti-reflective treatment on both sides, offering both durability and clarity. Aesthetically, the white dial injects a fresh, contemporary character into the traditionally darker-toned watch family, while maintaining the model’s unmistakable DNA that goes back to 1959, when the first Legend Diver was introduced.

The 39mm stainless steel case with alternating polished and satin-brushed surfaces and a closed back engraved with a diver maintains the water-resistance rating of 300 meters and the signature internal rotating bezel. Operated via a screw-down crown at the 2 o’clock position, the inner bezel includes a 60-minute scale and a luminous triangle marker for precise dive-time tracking.

Powering the timepiece is the Longines-exclusive caliber L888.6. This automatic movement features a silicon balance spring and other advanced components, granting it anti-magnetic properties that exceed ISO 764 standards by a factor of ten. With a power reserve of up to 72 hours, the COSC-certified movement ensures reliable performance over extended periods—whether above or below sea level.

Longines equips the new model with a metal bracelet featuring polished “grain of rice” central links, highlighting its sought-after retro aesthetics.

In addition to this striking newcomer, Longines introduces two new rubber strap options in blue and black—marking a first for the Legend Diver series, which has traditionally featured bracelets and leather respectively NATO-style fabric straps. Each rubber strap is fitted with a diver’s pin buckle, ensuring a secure fit both underwater and on land.

The Legend Diver with a white dial and bracelet retails for $3,550. The new rubber strap options are priced at $3,250.
