Mother Nature has long been an inspiration in the world of watches. The same rings true for animals and their habitats. A frog, however, is a rather unusual creature to be associated with a timepiece, especially the poison dart frog, a rare species found in the Amazon region of South America. Well, Casio G-Shock is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Frogman series with the GWFA1000APF1. Its design is inspired by this small amphibian.

A limited edition, its bold look is accentuated by a multicolored, layered carbon bezel and stain-resistant fluoroelastomer strap with polarized paint. Vibrant black, orange and blue are woven into organic patterns that mimic the beautiful colors of the poison dart frog. This multicolor design is accentuated by similar colors on the dial and clear resin for the bezel components. As a further nod to the animal, the back of the carbon monocoque case is engraved with the iconic frog symbol.

The GWFA1000APF1 is equipped with Super Illuminator (high-brightness LED light) to maintain readability in the dark, and dual coil motors are used for the hour, minute and indicator hands for high-speed operation and quick switching between time, dive, tide and other modes.
