One of the most classic introductions at this year's Watches and Wonders is an annual calendar complication by Laurent Ferrier. Available in stainless steel and pink gold with a gray-blue opaline or a vertical satin-finish silver dial, the elegant Classic Moon lives up to its name. Its slender Roman numerals and baton markers are accompanied by a chemin de fer minute track and the 31 date numerals in an expressive vintage-inspired font.

Below 12 o'clock, two beveled windows indicate the weekday and month. The slender hour and minute hands are in Laurent Ferrier's signature Assegai shape. At 6 o'clock, intertwined with the subsidiary seconds dial, there is a beautifully crafted aventurine crystal and translucent enamel moon-phase indication, a first for the Genevan independent watchmaker.

This harmonious layout fits perfectly with the round case of the Classic collection. With a diameter of 40mm and a height of 12.90mm, it goes without saying that it houses a top-quality genuine movement that comes to life through an exhibition case back. Another highlight on the rear side is the power reserve indicator which is integrated into one of the bridges on the right side.

Inspired by the brand’s previous annual calendar movement, the LF126.01, the new LF126.02 is a redesigned and improved version with an 80-hour power reserve. Over 30 new components have been added, and more than twenty have been revised and optimized. The hand-wound caliber is finished to a Laurent Ferrier's high standard. Each bridge is decorated with rhodium-plated Côtes de Genève. The main plate is circular-grained, while the edges and inner angles are beveled and polished by hand.

Pricing is available upon request.
