Sponsored: A Tribute to Time’s Creators — Glashütte Original PanoMaticCalendar “Blue of Dawn”

Glashütte Original unveils the PanoMaticCalendar “Blue of Dawn,” a platinum limited edition annual calendar inspired by the early hours of the day when its artisans begin their craft. Limited to 150 pieces.

The Silence of the Moment

Before sunrise, the workshops at Glashütte Original are already alive with activity. The quiet early hours have long been the favored time for the brand’s artisans to begin their work, a tradition dating back to before the arrival of electric light. Rising early reflects not only practicality, but also a ritual of focus and clarity. It is this serene dedication that inspires the new PanoMaticCalendar “Blue of Dawn”, a 150-piece limited edition in platinum.

With its cool, technical character paired with poetic design cues, the watch pays tribute to the inner rhythm of the craftspeople at Glashütte Original — and to the inner clocks of those who wear it.

A Window on the Soul

Transparency defines the new PanoMaticCalendar. The 42 mm platinum case houses an extensively skeletonized dial coated in the shade of “Blue of Dawn.” A fine vinyl-like decorative finish adds depth, while applied white gold indexes and blued hands with Super-LumiNova ensure clarity even in low light.

The highlight of the complication is a retrograde month display located between 3 and 6 o’clock. Twelve numerals are recessed within a curving, tinted sapphire ring, with only one illuminated at a time. Complementing it is the brand’s hallmark Panorama Date at 4 o’clock and a moon-phase display at 2 o’clock, crafted with a deep blue starry sky.

Buyers can select between a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap or a high-quality synthetic fabric strap, each secured with a platinum folding clasp.

The Mechanical Engine

Driving the timepiece is the manufactory Calibre 92-11, visible both from the open dial and through the sapphire case back. Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vph), it features a silicon balance spring for resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. A solid-gold balance wheel with regulation screws underscores the precision, while the impressive 100-hour power reserve ensures robust performance.

Traditional Saxon finishing abounds: Glashütte stripes across the rhodium-plated three-quarter plate, bevelled edges, polished steel components, and blued screws. Each of the 150 watches is meticulously assembled and regulated by hand in Glashütte Original’s Saxon workshops.
