Singer Reimagined Launches Three Flytrack Prime Editions Ahead of Regular Release

This past week, Geneva-based watchmaker Singer Reimagined unveiled the latest update to its catalog, the new Singer Flytrack, which comprises three different watches, each using the same base styling but differentiated by their use of different chronograph scales — telemeter, pulsometer, or tachymeter. Each of the models will be exclusively limited to 10 pieces for now, and known as the Singer Flytrack Prime Editions; the full, regular release of the Singer Flytrack series is anticipated in Spring 2021.

Each of the Singer Flytrack Prime Editions is in a 43-mm tonneau-shaped titanium case, finished in a matte style via micro-blasting except for the bezel, which is hand-polished. On the side we find a sturdy, pump-style pusher at 2 o’clock to operate the watch’s distinctive monopusher chronograph, while parallel to it at 4 o’clock is the tight-fit crown. A gold digit, hand-applied directly to the watch case, indicate the X/10 numbering of each limited-edition.

Underneath the sapphire crystal, the differentiating factors of the three models become clearer. The Tachymeter model Singer Flytrack features a black and metal coloring — and, of course, its namesake tachymetric scale; the Pulsometer features brown and bronze colors and a pulsometric scale; and the Telemeter features black and green coloring with a telemetric scale. Common to all the models is an outermost disk that serves as the hour hand, with a curved minute ring connecting this feature with the central dial within. On the innermost section of the dial is one of the three chronographic features, with a large, partially skeletonized hand used to count the minutes, and a simple orange pointer, used to display the running seconds as well as to serve as a chronograph counter. The chronograph functionality is activated by pressing a pusher to reset the seconds hand to 12 o’clock, and the pressing it again to start timing an interval.

Powering the Singer Flytrack Prime Editions is a mechanism developed in collaboration with Agenhor, an independent, Swiss movement manufacturer: the 314-component caliber AGH6364. The manually wound caliber features 55 hours of power reserve, an incredibly high jewel count at 49, and of course the interesting one-handed chronograph, operated by the monopusher, which including a flyback and zero-reset function. The movement, with its excellent finishing, is visible through a numbered exhibition caseback.

As mentioned, the new Singer Reimagined models will be available in 10 numbered editions for each style, comprising 30 total watches. Each of these “Prime Editions” will retail at CHf 26,500 (or about $28,875), directly through the brand and via authorized retailers, with shipping anticipated in April 2021.
