Showing at WatchTime New York 2017: Frédérique Constant Slimline Moonphase Stars Manufacture

When someone says “Reach for the stars,” one wouldn’t necessarily think of reaching for a watch. But if you want to hold stars in the palm of your hand, Frédérique Constant makes a ladies’ watch that will enable you to do so. The new Slimline Moonphase Stars Manufacture is among the models the Swiss “affordable luxury” brand will be showing at this year’s WatchTime New York event, held October 13-14 at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall (click here for event details and to purchase a ticket.) Read on to find out more about this distinctive moon-phase watch.Frédérique Constant Slimline Moonphase Stars Manufacture, rose-gold The watch stands apart from others in Frédérique Constant’s ladies’ collection in that it was designed by the brand’s co-founder, Aletta Stas. The eye-catching moon-phase display on the dial is surrounded by a dazzling field of printed stars. The dial of the rose-gold-plated version (pictured above) is sunray night blue, with the stars rose gold-colored to match the hue of the 38.8-mm case. A second version (pictured below) comes in a more traditional steel case in the same dimensions, with a dark black dial and silver stars. The thin bezels on both models are set with 60 diamonds (0.5 ct).Frédérique Constant Slimline Moonphase Stars Manufacture, steelInside the case is the new FC-701 in-house movement, with automatic winding, which is on display under a see-through caseback. Decorated with perlage and côtes de Genève details, it features an easy-adjust system that allows all of the watch’s functions, including the moon-phase indication, to be set and regulated by the crown. Stunning Cross-over Timepiece, great use of Star’s and Diamond’s, with Moon-phase. Well executed and Value driven.
