Panerai Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante Left-handed 8 Days Titanio – 44 mm

Panerai’s first watches for left-handers were created in the early 1940s for Italian Navy commandos. Today, these are highly sought-after by collectors. This historic peculiarity is the distinctive feature of the new Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante Left-handed 8 Days Titanio, a special edition with the the single-button manufacture P.2004/9 chronograph movement. The hand-wound P.2004/9 has three spring barrels, giving a power reserve of eight days. The caliber also features a column wheel and vertical clutch. The single pusher controls all the chronograph functions – start, stop, reset. The seconds reset function enables the watch to be synchronized with a reference time signal.

The 44mm Luminor 1950 case is made of brushed titanium with a polished bezel and a sapphire crystal back which enables the movement to be observed and the power reserve to be read via an indicator placed on a bridge. Water resistance is 100 meters.

The brown sandwich dial has the large figures and hour markers which are classic Panerai, as well as a continuous seconds dial and minutes counter. The sandwich dial construction maximizes the dial’s legibility in poor visibility by placing two outer discs with cut-out figures on either side of an inner disk made from luminous material.

The Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante Left-handed 8 Days Titanio is a Special Edition of only 150 units. The price is 14,900 euros or local equivalent, with an expected retail launch in April. Complete technical specifications appear below the images, which may be enlarged with a click.
