Capeland 10088 is Baume & Mercier’s First Limited Edition for U.S.

Baume & Mercier Capeland 10088 frontBaume & Mercier traces its founding all the way back to 1830 in Geneva, but it has never created a limited-edition watch for the U.S. market until now. The Capeland 10088, limited to 250 pieces and sold exclusively at select Tourneau stores nationwide, will be the first, making its debut this fall.

The Capeland 10088 is distinct from other watches in Baume & Mercier’s popular Capeland collection due to its copper-colored dial. It is an automatic flyback chronograph in a 44-mm-diameter case made of polished and satin-finished stainless steel. The dial, which is a covered by an anti-glare sapphire crystal, has a tachymeter scale in blue and a telemeter scale in black. The exhibition caseback, which shows off the La Joux-Perret movement, is also made of sapphire. The watch comes on a black alligator leather strap with a pin buckle.

“The Capeland collection has quickly become a best-selling collection for Baume & Mercier,” stated Rudy Chavez, president of Baume & Mercier North America, “so it only made sense to create a limited edition reference available at one of our finest retail partners, Tourneau. This unique timepiece is the ideal holiday gift for the discerning watch collector and fan of Baume & Mercier.”

The Capeland 10088 retails for $7,900 and will be available at select Tourneau stores in October, in time for the holiday shopping season.
