Ulysse Nardin Re-Releases Diver Chronograph Great White 44MM Limited Edition with New Conservation Partners

Entering the market with its latest shark conversation effort, Ulysse Nardin this summer re-introduces its latest in the Diver Chronograph Great White 44 MM Limited Edition. Featuring a 44mm sandblasted titanium case and a water resistance of 30 bar or 300m, the model saw its initial launch last year, then in in partnership with OCEARCH. This year, the model is undergoing a re-release, now with partners including 1% for the Planet, SharkTrust— a leading European shark conservation non-profit— and surfer, photographer, and shark attack survivor-turned-conservation activist Mike Coots.

Looking at details on the re-release, the gray dial of the chronograph also features a sandblasted texture, being framed by a concave unidirectional rotating bezel accented with a sporty rubber coating. Beneath the dial works the automatic manufacture caliber UN-150, which uses silicon technology developed in-house by the traditional Swiss manufacture; the escapement wheel, pallet and hairspring are made of this innovative material. In keeping with the theme of the re-launch, a silhouette of the endangered marine predator adorns the case back and the strap.

The Ulysse Nardin Diver Chronograph Great White 44MM Limited Edition is limited to 300 editions, with each priced at $13,300.

Ulysse Nardin were known for Marine Chronometers in ships. They are now largely irrelevant and don’t have an image that anyone can relate to. A great name and legacy in dire need of a reset…
