Bell & Ross unveils the BR 05 Artline, the watch earning its name from a 1940’s American product design trend focusing on flawlessness, lightweight and streamlining. Created in 2019, the BR 05 is a derivative of the BR 03, Bell & Ross’s iconic square timepiece with a round dial, inspired by cockpit instruments. The new BR 05 Artline is a variation of the BR 05, adopting its shape and integrated bracelet, and adding a gadroon pattern that looks like a relief engraving on both of them.
The four signature screws, which secure the bezel to the case, are retained, as are the finely brushed surfaces and polished bevels. The screw-down crown is protected by a guard device.
Marking a first for this collection, the dial flaunts a new sunburst ruthenium gray color created by a metallization process. It makes for an elegant background for the applied applied baton indices and hands that are coated with Superluminova.
The BR 05 Artline is powered by the automatic BR-CAL.321 based on the Sellita SW-300. This movement and its gorgeous open/worked oscillating weight come to life through a pane of sapphire in the back of the 40mm stainless steel case that is water resistant to 100 meters. Limited to 250 pieces, the BR 05 Artline has a price tag of approximately $5,320 when converted to USD.
