Worn & Wound’s Windup Watch Fair Returns This Month to New York’s Chelsea Market

With WatchTime New York 2021 set to make its triumphant return later this month, from October 22 to 24, at Manhattan’s Gotham Hall, we here at the magazine are proud and excited to announce our renewed partnership with Worn & Wound and the return of their very own event, the Windup Watch Fair.

The fair and shopping event will be taking place once more at Manhattan’s Chelsea Market, also from October 22 to 24, and will feature an array of fantastic watch brands and timepieces to complement the more than 25 exhibiting brands at WatchTime New York. Like Worn & Wound and the online Windup Watch Shop — which operates year-round and is the true host of the fair —- it will be an enthusiast-driven event featuring great conversations and stylish yet purposeful watches.

As in previous years, Windup will bring watch enthusiasts and newcomers together in an approachable, casual setting, with an eclectic assortment of over thirty brands on display, many geared toward the entry-level price point of the market. The lineup will include well-established industry leaders, exciting new watchmakers, and everything in between, with the event poised to offer “something for everyone” as Blake Malin, CEO of Worn & Wound, plainly stated at announcement time.

Oris will return as the most prominent brand in the Windup Watch Fair, fresh off a very busy and successful two years of releases. On display will be a broad selection of Oris’ newest pieces, including the Aquis Date Upcycle, Divers Sixty-Five Glow, and Aquis Date Calibre 400 featuring Oris’ latest in-house Calibre 400 movement. Additionally, Seiko and G-SHOCK — two brands incredibly popular with Worn & Wound readers — will join the Windup for the first time this year. Other notable brands will include BALL Watch, Bespoke Watch Projects, Hamilton, Junghans, Norqain, and Zodiac, among many others.

Also, for the first time at the Windup Watch Fair, EDC (or Everyday Carry) products will be on display, including a fine selection of knives, pens, wallets, tools, and flashlights from brands such as The James Brand, Victorinox, and others. “EDC and watches go hand-in-hand for a lot of folks in our community.” Says James Helms, CCO of Worn & Wound, going on to note the fantastic “utility, craftsmanship, and innovation,” shared between the horological community’s beloved timepieces and the EDC community’s own cherished products.
