Ready to Move with the Seiko 5 Sports

Right in time for the travel season, Seiko expands its Seiko 5 Sports collection with three GMT timepieces. Marking a first for this line that goes back to the 1960’s and was reintroduced in 2019, the trio brings together sporty attributes with the indication of a second time zone via a rotating, two colored bezel, and a central hand. The new watches are available in the three colorways black, blue and orange, and fitted with a five-link metal bracelet that is inspired by the original SKX series as rings true for the design of the case and dial.

The stainless steel case, water-resistant to 100 meters and protected against magnetism up to 4,800 A/m, has a diameter of 42.5mm and a height of 13.6mm. It is equipped with an exhibition case back that displays the automatic caliber 4R34. The Seiko 5 Sports GMT will arrive in stores by July and will retail for $475.

Apologies, it’s even worse than I thought.
+45/-35 per day is the quoted accuracy…
    This is hideous…
Why not put in a quartz movement with +\- 15s per day ?
At least you’ll get to work on time…

Unless you spend big bucks on a Grand Seiko, don’t expect ANY accuracy in a $475 Seiko… If you can tolerate -25/+15s per day variation you may as well throw these in the bin.. They are loose timekeepers at best…
