EVENTS:

Scenes from WatchTime Rodeo Drive 2018

Last Thursday, we hosted our second annual WatchTime Rodeo Drive event at the legendary Beverly Hills luxury shopping avenue with 11 participating brands and over 150 collectors. For over three hours, attendees walked between the boutiques, tried on hundreds of different watches, sampled champagne and spirits from all over the world, and chatted with fellow collectors, brand executives, and WatchTime editors. Attendees gathered at Two Rodeo Drive next to Westime Jewelers to sign in and sample a variety of bourbons and whiskeys from Four Roses. Once registered, each collector received a horological “passport” and three questions that pertained to the participating brands. At each boutique, the brand would stamp the passport as the collector mingled, took photos of different watches on their wrist, and had their questions answered. After visiting each of the 11 stores, the passport was returned and placed into a raffle. The winner of the first drawing received a Viceroy 6-Piece Watch Winder from Wolf. If you got all three questions correct, you were entered into a second raffle where the winner took home a single watch winder from Wolf, a $500 gift certificate to Westime Jewelers, and a bottle of Four Roses Bourbon. After the event concluded, a select few collectors and readers joined the WatchTime staff for an intimate dinner at 208 Rodeo restaurant.

The sky was clear, the weather balmy, and the boutiques crowded with horological enthusiasts. Here are a few of our favorite images from the evening. If you’d like to be kept in the loop about future events in your area, please reach out to mlarsen@watchtime.com.

Thank you to Audemars Piguet, Breguet, Grand SeikoJaeger-LeCoultre, Panerai, Piaget, Porsche Design, Richard Mille, Roger Dubuis, Vacheron Constantin, and Westime Jewelers; Four Roses; Wolf Winders; Two Rodeo Drive; and a special thank you to all our loyal readers and collectors for making this year’s show such a success.

See you next year!

  1. Any chance of another WatchTime event in Miami like you had a couple of years ago?

  2. It sounds like it was a great night for those fortunate enough to live sufficiently close to attend. The photo of the bourbon looks interesting and is obviously a popular refreshment of choice in the US, more so than in Australia.
