To celebrate the completion of its new production building PP6 in Plan-les-Ouates (Geneva), Patek Philippe created a limited edition Calatrava in stainless steel (Ref. 6007A-001). Patek Philippe traditionally accompanies key events with the launch of limited-edition commemorative watches. Two examples are the famous Ref. 5500 Pagoda (2,000 pieces) and the Ref. 5029 Minute Repeater (30 pieces) that were both presented in 1997 to highlight the official inauguration of the new manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates (which had allowed Patek to move all production departments to one location on the outskirts of Geneva).
Ref. 6007A-001
The new Calatrava Ref. 6007A-001 comes in polished steel, a traditionally very rare (and therefore even more sought-after) material in Patek Philippe’s collections.
The Ref. 6007A-001 Calatrava instantly stands out with its case and broad cambered bezel in polished steel […] In its center, the dial features a “carbon”-style texture
Patek Philippe
The 40-mm watch is powered by the self-winding caliber 324 S C movement with an aperture date at 3 o’clock. For those lucky enough to get one, the Ref. 6007A-001 will retail for $28,351 and is limited to 1,000 pieces.

PP6
In 1996, Patek Philippe had announced the inauguration of a new manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates. Back then, the company was the first brand to establish a presence in this Genevan suburb community that was later referred to as “Plan-les-Watches”. The objective at the time was to reunite under one roof the individual business activities that were previously distributed across over a dozen sites throughout the city and to thus secure the independence of the company in the long term. Although the new building was generously sized, it soon proved to be too small to cope with the manufacture’s growth.
PP6 started with a small groundbreaking ceremony in October 2015. Five years later, the manufacture’s new production center now stands on a plot once occupied by the company’s parking lot.
The building stands out with impressive dimensions: 189 meters long, 67 meters wide, 34 meters above ground, with 10 floors, of which four subterranean. The total investment was CHF 600 million, CHF 500 million for the structure and CHF 100 million for interiors as well as the avant-garde technical resources.

28k for a Pringle pullover for the wrist.
Restraint, finesse, timeless appeal?
Not perhaps a Patek ‘finest moment’..
Very ordinary. The bronze steps on the building are a bit different. 800 seat penthouse restaurant says most of what we need to know. The decontenting is worrying. No thanks. Henri Would not be please. But a Polaris.
The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris With blue dial must have served as inspiration for this uglier version. The J-LC besides being more beautiful is also much cheaper. Truly disappointed at PP.
What u can say , It’s Patek philippe.
