TimeZone’s Michael Sandler Joins Tourneau

Tourneau News

Tourneau, America’s largest watch retailer, announced that Michael Sander will join their team as vice president of strategic planning and business development, a new position within the retailer’s infrastructure. Geared at promoting new brand relationships and developing new opportunities, Sander’s addition to the Tourneau executive team marks another step in the company’s strategy to re-brand itself.

Sandler brings a deep knowledge of the watch world to the 111 year old company, earned largely from his role as the General Manager of TimeZone.com. Sandler is respected by watch brands in the U.S. and Europe, and his industry experience will be paramount in driving critical company-wide initiatives.

“I am happy for the opportunity to join Tourneau at such a pivotal moment in the brand’s history,” said Sandler. “It is an exciting time to be a part of a company which is recognized as an authority in the watch industry, and which continues to grow and re-brand itself to the desires of the modern consumer.” Sandler will also remain involved at TimeZone.

Later this month Tourneau will open a new flagship store at 510 Madison Avenue which will feature interactive, state-of-the-art selling components. The store will feature a cleaner look, and was designed by 8 Inc, the firm responsible for Apple stores. Throughout the past year, Tourneau CEO James Seuss has been instrumental in implementing new initiatives to change the look and feel of the brand, as well as some of its operational practices. Tourneau has introduced an updated logo, new refined company colors, updated shopping bags, and an updated in-store look. Tourneau will also be expanding digitally with an updated website to reflect the brand’s new image, as well as on other digital platforms.
