The GMT model has a 42-mm case, available in either steel or DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon). Its dial has 13 micro gas tubes and is available in black or silver. It has an Inka orange center-mounted hand to indicate a second time zone. The watch comes on a steel bracelet or a leather or rubber strap.
The Ball for BMW Power Reserve is powered by an ETA 2897 and is the only model in the series available in a gold case as well as in stainless steel and DLC. The power-reserve indicator is in a large subdial at 7 o’clock. Its dial has 10 micro gas tubes. Dials options are black or silver for the steel and DLC cases and black or gray for the gold case; strap options are steel bracelet, crocodile leather or rubber.
Ball Watch Company has stated that it intends to expand the Ball for BMW collection soon with a chronograph model and a model housing the brand’s well-known mechanical thermometer function. The Ball for BMW watches — which are packaged with a BMW digital key — are available through a network of exclusive retailers.

The 3-hand midnight blue model is attractive, but IMO they could have made it more interesting by fitting the large BMW logo with a seconds sub-dial, rather than using a center seconds hand.
Assuming these models are priced in Ball’s typical range, I would have to disagree completely. Watches from the manufacturers you mentioned, in comparable metals and with comparable functionality, cost anywhere from 5 to 10 times what the Ball models will likely go for.
The new Ball collection is promising. The first model, with midnight blue dial color is very classic. However, the BMW logo should be shorter, like in the other two models (GMT and Power Reserve).
The GMT model, in particular, will be a great sucess, in my opinion. The contrast among orange, black and white produced a very elegant dial in a sportive watch.
Not very interesting. E.T.A. 2892-2 are from the 80’s
What is the purpose of the micro gas tubes ?
The watch should be at least waterproof 10 bar

Wow, what a waste of production. Not many people will spring for this when you still have Rolex, Patek and Omega to choose from.
