16 Prize-Winning Watches from the 2014 Geneva Grand Prix


Breguet Classique Chronometrie 7727On October 31st, the 14th annual Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève — the watch world’s equivalent of the Oscars — was held at Geneva’s Grande Theatre. The international jury of watch experts handed out prizes in 16 categories, including the prestigious “Aiguille d’Or” grand prize, awarded to Breguet for its Classiqu Chronometrie. The Urwerk EMC was the only watch model to be honored with two awards (Mechanical Exception and Innovation watch), while Breguet picked up, in addition to the Aiguille d’Or, the Public Prize for its ladies’ model, the Classique Dame. The prize-giving ceremony in Geneva was attended by around 1,500 guests, including major figures from the worlds of watchmaking, finance, and politics. The prize-winning timepieces will be presented in London at the SalonQP from November 6th through 8th.
