Frederique Constant’s Highlife Collection Welcomes a Chronograph

With a chronograph movement developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret, Frederique Constant opens a new chapter in the history of the Highlife collection. Premiered in 1999 and relaunched in 2020, this watch family is distinguished by its dial decoration inspired by a globe as well as an integrated and interchangeable bracelet. Three models are being introduced globally, one of which will be available in the US.

This Highlife Chronograph features the same 41 mm stainless steel case as the other styles in the collection and is water resistant to 100 meters. The silver dial has a compax layout, with the small seconds at 9 o’clock, the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and the 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock. Three central hand-polished hands complete the timepiece: two fluorescent hands for the hours and minutes and a central chronograph seconds hand. There is also a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock.

As for the back, the case is fitted with a sapphire crystal through which one can admire the FC-391 automatic movement and its chronograph module with the column wheel one of its technical highlights. The rose-gold plated oscillating weight decorated with Côtes de Genève and other fine finishing details are also on full display. The FC/391 caliber beats at a frequency of 28,800 vph and amasses 60 hours of power reserve. The watch which will be available in stores in August with a price tag of $3,795. The package includes two additional straps, a navy blue calf leather strap and a rubber strap in the same hue, which reflects the colorway of the subdials.
