Custom California: Bremont Partners with Bamford for the Limited S500 Bamford Special Edition

The Bremont S500 Bamford Special Edition represents an exciting fusion of British design from Bremont and Bamford Watch Department. The collection was born out of a long-standing friendship between Bremont Co-founders Nick and Giles English and George Bamford, as well as mutual respect and admiration for each other’s craft.

The resulting Special Edition, limited to just 250 pieces, represents a distinct twist on Bremont’s signature Supermarine S500, combining Bamford’s passion for vibrant lume and DLC finish with Bremont’s tactical and notoriously robust diving range.

The DLC finish of the 43-mm stainless steel case is beautifully contrasted with the California Blue Super-Luminova across the newly styled hands and indexes, befitting for its California dial, a design first for both Bremont and Bamford. The highly legible dial with a visual depth is enhanced by increased luminosity as a result of its layered dial layout. The extensive use of black DLC, uniquely accented with blue, marks this timepiece as an unmistakable Bamford collection.

The diver’s watch features the Bremont Trip-Tick case construction, a ceramic bezel as well as a crown protector and a helium escape valve. It houses the BE-36AE movement, which is Bremont’s automatic chronometer calibre based on ETA 2836-2. Pricing is marked at $4,995.

No matter the horological workmanship on a watch, if the dont have the date complication, I view them as worthless timepieces
