Estimated at $400,000 – $600,000, this Patek Philippe watch from 2007 went for $461,000. It’s a very complicated watch in a rose-gold case, featuring a minute repeater, perpetual calendar and moon-phase display.
5. Patek Philippe Reference 5950
Another Patek Philippe, this one in a stainless steel, cushion-shaped case, rounds out the top five in Christie’s “Important Watches” auction. This reference is a split-seconds chronograph watch with Breguet numerals and a silvered matte dial. It sold for $413,000 and included its original certificate.
6. Patek Philippe Reference 5970
Patek Philippe, always a great performer at watch auctions, was also represented by this reference, another watch combining a chronograph and perpetual calendar. This one, manufactured around 2011, has a gold-colored dial. The final sale price was $353,000.
Always amazed how PP and Rolex maintain and increase their value along with time.
