Antiquorum’s December 7 Auction Has Something for Everyone

Antiquorum will hold its Important Modern and Vintage Timepieces sale at its New York headquarters on December 7. Highlights of the sale include a Vacheron Constantin minute repeating perpetual calendar, a unique Parmigiani Bugatti Type 370, an IWC Grand Complication No. 50/50, an Urwerk Ref. 202P Special Edition, and a Patek Philippe Ref. 3970P. The star of this sale is a Vacheron Constantin Ref. 30020 minute repeating perpetual calendar wristwatch with moon phases in platinum. Produced circa 2000, the pre-sale estimate is $180,000 to $220,000.

Antiquorum will also offer this Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti Type 370 Piece Unique. Made in 2007, the 18k white gold case is specially constructed with diamonds. The pre-sale estimate is $100,000 to $150,000. You may view a video preview of this piece by clicking here.

Another exceptional minute repeater included in the December sale is the International Watch Company “Grand Complication,” No. 50/50, Ref. 3770 produced in 2008. The 18k pink gold timepiece on matching bracelet is a minute-repeating, self-winding wristwatch with square button chronograph, registers, perpetual calendar and moon phases. The pre-sale estimate is $120,000 to $140,000.

This Urwerk Ref. 202P Special Edition Twin Turbine Regulation, Automatic was created in 2009 in a limited edition of 20 pieces. This platinum black PE-CVD and titanium chronometer wristwatch indicates the time digitally using a patented revolving satellite complication with telescopic minute and hour orbiting satellites, moon phases and day & night indication. The pre-sale estimate is $100,000 to $150,000.

For Patek Philippe collectors this sale includes this Ref. 3970P with black baton dial made in 1998. The platinum wristwatch features a round button chronograph, register, perpetual calendar and moon phases. It is expeced to bring $100,000 to $120,000.

Among the other exceptional pieces included in this sale are a Richard Mille “Tourbillon RM 002”, No. 333, made in 2005, the Girard-Perregaux “Tribute to Enzo Ferrari Tourbillon” No. 1, a Rolex “Paul Newman” Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6239 made in 1967, and a Patek Philippe Ref. 3940 in platinum originally sold in 2000.
