Panerai PAM348 - Lot 83Among the many Patek Philippe timepieces up for sale is the Ref. 1373 “Piece Unique – Pendulette Dome 700ème Anniversaire de la Confederation” brass table clock. As the name implies, it is a one-of-a-kind item — a solar-powered and electromechanical clock, created by Patek to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the foundation of Switzerland in 1991, and sold on September 22, 1996. The dial shows the flags of the original Swiss Cantons (The bull’s head is Canton Uri, the small white cross is Canton Schwytz, and the keys represent Canton Unterwald). The table clock has been entirely polychrome cloisonné enamelled with scenes of Swiss mountains and the scenes depicting the foundation of Switzerland in 1291. It took a total of eight months for Patek Philippe to complete this unique piece. The clock (Lot 237, estimated at 800,000 – 1,000,000 HKD) comes with its the fitted box, certificate, guarantee, registration card, instruction manual, hang-tag and a framed document describing the item in Japanese.
