Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton

Graham’s Silverstone RS (“RennSport”) collection is influenced by auto racing. One of the most striking models in the line is the Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton, a chronograph watch with a skeletonized dial, available in three color schemes.

The Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton combines polished and hand-drawn-strokes steel (for the case), ceramic (for the bezel), aluminum (for the knurled, colored ring under the bezel) and rubber (for the strap, which sports a distinctive tire-tread pattern). The case is 46 mm in diameter and features polished bevels on the lugs. The skeletonized dial has a bicompax arrangement, with two chronograph-counter subdials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, and offers a view into the watch’s “engine,” Graham’s automatic Caliber G1790. The winding crown is secured by a bayonet system with a safety colored ring. The sapphire crystal has an inscribed Graham logo and boasts non-reflective treatment on both sides.

The owner of the Graham Silverstone RS Skeleton gets a dial-side view of the gear wheel and other parts of the shaded gray and rhodium-plated movement, which has a frequency of 28,800 vph, 29 jewels and a 46-hour power reserve. A porthole-like aperture in the caseback at 10 o’clock shows off the movement’s escapement and balance wheel. The movement also features decorative finishing and a rotor with hand-drawn strokes and a snailed external segment. Its balance bridge and plates are openworked.

The watch is available in three “racing team” color schemes — red, green, and blue — with the colors used for the knurled aluminum ring, the chronograph hands and the racing stripe on the strap. Each version is limited to 250 pieces, and sells for $14,580.

Purchased this watch new for a whopping $ amount. The calibration, I believe, is a modified 7750. But man, what a great looker. Reminded me of the El Primero but with an even larger and cooler dial. Great summer stunner from Graham

  2. Great Watch! To bad I “just” bought another relatively expensive watch on December’13.
Men, I love sports cars and own a 2-seater which I drive day for day, over the whole year, also by snow. This watch looks really spectacular and would “round off” the whole image! Well, maybe next December … :)

Cool watch, but I would have prefered to see more skeletonization, like that sported by a BRM.
